FAQs
During the annual meeting we go over the financials, the big projects that were completed and in process, and the key takeaways from the member survey. We also elect board members. Specific details are in the summary report. Resident members are invited to attend.
Membership sign-ups will open on March 20th. In order to sign up for a membership, please visit our online application. We have an instructional video and a document to help guide you. If you still have issues, use the Contact Us page to send us an email.
We understand that it can be frustrating for registration to close before you have a chance to sign up. Similar to seats on a plane or tickets to a concert, memberships are based off of capacity so we only have so many to offer. That means they are sold on a first come, first serve basis so registration closes once we are out. We plan to open registration on March 20th.
Swim lessons are conducted prior to the pool opening. We've discussed ways to have both going on at the same time but due to the demand for lessons, the full pool needs to be able to be used during that time for that purpose. We're also unable to hold lessons earlier due to the pool being used by the swim and dive teams.
YES! Members can definitely have a party at Village Green Pool. All you have to do is use the Party Reservation Request form at Splash Swim Services to book a party. Private parties are held after regular pool hours. Members can always bring guests during the day using their guest passes. Just refer to the Guest Pass Policy in the Member Info section and if needed, visit the Shop tab to purchase additional guest passes.
Swimming Lessons offered at Village Green Pool are facilitated by Splash Pool Services, Inc. Splash offers a unique program of integrated levels to ensure that swimmers achieve designated outcomes before moving onto the next level. Click here for more information and registration.
Vortex Swim Club has two teams practicing out of Village Green Pool; their competitive team and a recreational team called the Village Green Velociraptors. Contact either of them for details on how to join.
Diving Lessons offered at Village Green Pool are facilitated by Norco Diving. The Norco Diving Camp provides introduction and instruction to the sport of Olympic style Springboard diving to youth ages 6 – 18 in a fun and safe environment from an experienced coaching team.
Cash isn't accepted at the Snackery for a variety of reasons, mainly due to reconciliation issues. We know sending a credit/debit card with your kids is not an option for everyone. To address that, we still have $10 punch cards available for purchase. We also accept Apple and Google pay, if your child has a phone or smart watch.
Typically the pool opens by 11:00a with different closure times depending on the day. There are also special hours during the early/late season and holidays so it's best to visit the Schedule/Hours page of the website.
The lifeguards are students (college and high school) so when school is in session that is the earliest the pool can be staffed.
You can bring as many guests as your passes will allow but if you want to bring more than six (6) individuals at once, contact the pool office in advance to insure that they will have the appropriate amount of staffing.
The amount of passes you need depends on the guests since a "guest" is an individual or family. If you bring three cousins, you use one pass. If you bring three unrelated friends, you use three passes. If you bring two of your friends and their families, you only use two guest passes even if there's eight people
The kiddie pool is for our youngest swimmers, those 6 years old and younger. There is no lifeguard supervision of the kiddie pool, therefore all swimmers must be supervised by an adult.
We need several volunteers to help keep VGP running smoothly. Volunteers help with running the Snackery, organizing special projects, and assisting with landscaping needs. If you have an idea of something you'd like to help with, we would love to hear from you. There will be an email sent prior to the season starting asking for volunteer interest, or you can always fill out the Contact Us form.
Open board positions will be announced at least 1 month prior to the annual meeting, typically held the first Monday of November. Board positions are open to residents only.
